Who we are
SignalFaith is a free faith app designed for young people. We take your privacy seriously and only collect what's needed to make the app work.
What we collect
- Account info — email and name if you create an account.
- God Chat — your chat messages are not saved unless you explicitly tap "Save Chat". Once you close the chat or start a new one, it's gone.
- Written prayers — when you use "Write Me a Prayer", your prayer topic is saved anonymously against a device fingerprint (not your name or email). This is used only to make the app feel more personal on return visits — for example, tailoring your daily verse. No one can trace it back to you.
- Anonymous prayer wall posts — not linked to your identity.
- Usage data — basic analytics (e.g. which features are used) to improve the app. No personal info.
- Donation info — processed securely by PayPal. We never store your card details.
🔒 Your prayers are private
Your conversations with God Chat stay on your device and are never stored unless you choose to save them. The "Write Me a Prayer" feature saves your prayer topic anonymously — linked only to a device fingerprint, never to your name or email — so that return visits feel more personal. It is never shared, sold, or seen by anyone.
How we use it

- To save your prayers and chat history (if logged in).
- To process donations via PayPal.
- To improve the app using anonymous usage data.
We do not sell your data. Ever.
How content is generated
All Bible verses shown in the app are sourced from a trusted public Bible database, so the scripture you read is always accurate and word-for-word from the Bible.
The explanations, prayers, chat responses, and daily insights are generated using advanced AI technology. When you ask a question or request a prayer, your words are sent to an AI system that has been carefully guided to respond through a biblical lens — grounded in Scripture, honest, and relevant to real life. Think of it like having a knowledgeable friend who always points you back to God's Word. The AI doesn't know who you are — it simply receives your question and responds.
Third-party services
- PayPal — payment processing for donations. PayPal's Privacy Policy.
- AI — your questions and prayers are sent to an AI model to generate responses. They are not stored by us beyond your session unless you save them.

If you're in the UK, EU, or EEA, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK Data Protection Act 2018 give you specific rights over your personal data. SignalFaith is committed to honouring all of them.
Your rights under GDPR:
- Right to be informed — you're told clearly what data we collect and why (see above).
- Right of access — you can request a copy of all the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct anything that's inaccurate or incomplete.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — you can ask us to permanently delete your account and all associated data.
- Right to restrict processing — you can ask us to limit how we use your data while a concern is resolved.
- Right to data portability — you can receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format to move it elsewhere.
- Right to object — you can object to us processing your data for specific reasons.
- Rights around automated decision-making — our AI generates content in response to your input, but it never makes automated decisions about you that have legal or significant effects.
Lawful basis for processing:
We process your data under consent (you agree when you create an account or use a feature) and legitimate interests (to provide and improve the service you asked for). You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.
How to exercise your rights:
Just contact us using the details below. We'll respond within one month, as the law requires. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) or your local data protection authority if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data.

SignalFaith is designed for users aged 13 and over. If you're under 18, please make sure a parent or guardian is aware you're using the app.
